Who we are
Saber Scale Advisory ("Saber Scale", "we", "us") is a growth partner for service businesses, based in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains how we handle personal information on saberscale.com, in our application form, when you book or attend a call with us, and when you email us.
Dax Soorya is responsible for our privacy practices. You can reach him at hello@saberscale.com.
We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
What you give us. When you fill out our application form or book a call, we collect your name, email, phone number, business name and website, your industry, and your answers about your business, such as your average sale, your ad budget and how many new clients you can take. If you email or message us, we keep what you send.
What we collect automatically. When you visit this site, we and our tools collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the buttons you click, the site that sent you here and any campaign details in the link (such as which ad you came from). This is done with cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and, if we turn it on, Google Analytics.
We do not collect payment information on this site. We do not ask for sensitive information such as health details, and you should not include it in the form.
How we use it
- To review your application and decide whether we are a good fit.
- To schedule your strategy session, send reminders and prepare for the call.
- To reply to your questions and keep in touch about working together.
- To deliver our services if you become a client, under a separate written agreement.
- To measure how our ads and this site perform, improve them, and show our ads to people likely to be interested, or stop showing them to people who are not a fit.
- To keep our records, meet our legal and tax obligations, and protect the site from misuse.
We only use your information for these purposes, or for a new purpose you agree to.
Your consent
By submitting our form, booking a call or emailing us, you agree to us using your information as described here. By using this site with cookies enabled, you agree to the analytics and advertising tools described below. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us or changing your cookie settings. If you do, we may not be able to assess your application or run your call.
Cookies and ad tracking
We use the Meta Pixel to see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to this site, which visitors apply and which book a call. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you, under Meta's privacy policy. If we turn on Google Analytics, it measures how people use this site in a similar way.
You can limit this tracking:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Change your ad settings in your Meta Accounts Center.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at YourAdChoices.ca.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site and our calls, and only what they need to do that work:
- Tally, which runs our application form.
- Calendly, which runs our booking calendar.
- Meta Platforms, for ad measurement and audiences.
- Google, for our email and, if turned on, site analytics.
- Vercel, which hosts this site.
We may also share information with our professional advisors (such as our accountant or lawyer) under a duty of confidentiality, when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business, in which case the new owner must protect it as this policy does.
Storage outside Canada
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement or national security authorities. You can contact us for more information about our policies and practices for service providers outside Canada, or with questions about how they collect, use, disclose or store your information.
How long we keep it
If you apply or book a call but do not become a client, we keep your information for up to 2 years so we can follow up as your business grows, then delete it or remove anything that identifies you. If you become a client, we keep it for as long as we work together, plus as long as tax and business record rules require after that. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Emails from us
We only send you marketing emails with your consent. When you apply or book a call, Canadian law lets us contact you about working together for up to 6 months. After that, we will only email you if you have opted in. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Access is limited to the people who need it, our accounts use strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and we choose service providers with strong security practices. No system is completely secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
- Stop using your information for marketing or ad audiences.
Email hello@saberscale.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will reply within 30 days.
Questions or complaints
Please contact us first and we will do our best to fix the problem. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is for business owners and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
